Building quality schools in Tripura

children

The Adhyayan Quality Education Foundation (AQEF) works to improve the quality of government schools and promote engaged learning for children. AQEF aligns its programmes with the government’s existing mandates, and implements programmes through existing government human and financial resources. Since 2015, AQEF has reached 4482 government schools across six states (Goa, Delhi, Karnataka, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura).

In 2021, the Tripura government invited AQEF to improve the quality of government schools, using the government’s school quality assessment tool (Shaala Sidhi Assessment Framework). Since January 2025, AQEF partners with Dalyan Foundation to demonstrate comprehensive school improvement in two blocks of the Dhalai district through a pilot. The project adopts a multi-stakeholder approach. It aims to improve grade-appropriate learning levels and enhance the personal and social development skills of 1162 students from primary and secondary schools in the Dhalai district.
