Medha better prepares students for life after school by providing 21st century skills training, career counseling and workplace exposure, and ongoing job placement and alumni support. Since 2011, Medha has worked with over 15,000 youth across more than 150 educational institutions, placed them into internships and full-time jobs with 1,000 leading employers, and mainstreamed its programs across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Initially, Medha and Dalyan have successfully implemented a campus-based program with a female focus across eight educational institutions in Sitapur District benefitting 1,500 students. Building upon this success and learnings, Dalyan has entered into a new three-year partnership to provide ongoing support to Medha’s female alumni, by approaching its alumni community with a stronger gender lens. Through this, they aim to identify and address specific challenges faced by young women post Medha’s campus-based program, and improve career progression and overall agency.
